Cristyn Madley
Inspired by her mother, Fran, Cristyn wanted to instill the same value of giving back in her own children, leading her family to volunteer with Hilltop Haven Family Shelter in Paterson. Wanting to support families beyond the holidays, they founded Families for Families in 2014, growing from seasonal programs into a year-round organization supported by a dedicated community of volunteers. At the heart of Cristyn’s vision is the belief that personal relationships matter most—ensuring families know they have someone in their corner they can count on.

The Great Starts Crew Leader leads our Great Starts Crew in helping families turn empty apartments into homes. In addition to furniture pickups, deliveries, and home setups, the Crew Leader coordinates the day’s moving activities and helps ensure every pickup and delivery is completed safely, efficiently, and with the dignity and care that are central to Families for Families.
