  • SNAP Benefits

    New Jersey’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, NJ SNAP, provides food assistance to families with low incomes to help them buy groceries through a benefits card accepted in most food retail stores and some farmers markets.

  • Free Tax Help

    The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.

  • Passaic County Board of Social Services

    The Passaic County Board of Social Services mission is to implement state and national laws designed to assist families, achieve economic security, and obtain medical assistance with social service programs.

  • Work First NJ

    WFNJ provides temporary cash assistance and many other support services to families through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.

    CFA’s Homelessness Prevention Program provides financial assistance, guidance, and peace of mind to struggling low-income households. CFA helps with security deposits and first month’s rent for those moving into new apartments.

    Community Emergency Support (CES)-Passaic programs offer homeless prevention and rapid re-housing programs to assist families to prevent potential homelessness or transition from a state of homelessness to Passaic County Residents.

  • Healthcare

    NJ FamilyCare - New Jersey's publicly funded health insurance program. That means qualified NJ residents of any age may be eligible for free or low-cost healthcare coverage that covers doctor visits, prescriptions, vision, dental care, mental health and substance use services, and even hospitalization

  • Internet

    The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program that helps many low income households pay for broadband service and internet connected devices.

  • Cell Phone

    The Lifeline program and the Affordable Connectivity Program help make phone and internet service more affordable for low-income individuals. Eligible individuals also qualify for a free smartphone through the Lifeline program. If you participate in certain assistance programs like Medicaid, NJ SNAP or SSI, you automatically qualify for both federal programs.
